Hospital Packing List: 

• Advanced Healthcare Directive (signed with witnesses) 

• Ice packs (the hospital will supply these for you) - I wish I could have brought my own but they would not let me. 

• Throw blanket for your person staying with you 

• Eye mask

• Clothing and toiletries:

• An outfit to wear on the way out, otherwise you are in a hospital gown the entire stay 

• Make sure to bring a button up top to easily fit over you head. You don't want to deal with a t-shirt that brushes up against your stitches

• Toothbrush 

• Toothpaste 

• Mouthwash

• Wet wipes (the hospital will provide these too)

• Hairbrush

• Anti-Nausea bag that has the following: 

• Alcohol swabs (to sniff in case nauseous) 

• Anti nausea patches 

• Anti nausea Wristbands

• Calming oils 

• Spearmint gum 

• Entertainment: (I ended up not using any of the below b/c I was too out of it during my hospital stay)

• Coloring pens with blank paper 

• A few thank you cards 

• A Good book 

• Music speaker to hear calming music  

• Charging cables

• Laptop

• Some shows downloaded and ready to go

• Playing Cards 

• Teddy bear
